The "Macao Technological Innovation Exploration in Lisbon," co-organized by the Economic and Technological Development Bureau and Sands China Ltd. with support from the Science and Technology Development Fund, concluded successfully from November 9 to 15. As one of the 25 local tech startups certified under the Macao Economic and Technological Development Bureau's Technology Enterprise Certification Program, eRS sent Ms. Candy Fong, Director of Operations, as the company's representative to Lisbon, Portugal, for a five-day deep-tech exploration and cross-sector exchange. Through participating in forums, investment negotiations, and site visits, the delegation engaged in in-depth exchanges with the local tech industry and innovation ecosystem institutions, supporting tech enterprises in expanding into Portuguese-speaking countries and overseas markets.

The delegation's first stop was the Web Summit, one of the world's most anticipated annual technology events. The summit brought together top experts, innovators, business leaders, and investors from around the globe. Through a series of keynote speeches, masterclasses, and forums on artificial intelligence and robotics technologies, the delegation delved into cutting-edge technological developments and industry application trends, establishing connections with global technology leaders. In addition, participants attended technology company exchange forums and visited major local tech enterprises, gaining insights into the latest industry developments and trends, strengthening ties with industry professionals, and learning from Portugal’s successful experiences in innovation incubation and business models.

This exchange delegation provided a rare opportunity for eRS to gain insights into technological developments in Europe and globally, and to identify potential collaboration opportunities, yielding substantial benefits. Ms. Candy Fong remarked that direct dialogue with global technology leaders not only broadened the company’s international perspective but also deepened its understanding of the potential applications of artificial intelligence and big data in global smart tourism and modern service industries.
